3 Maintenance and Repair
Before starting maintenance, the motor (the facility where the motor is located) shall be fully
disconnected from the supply mains with locking it against unauthorized connection.
Only qualifi ed specialists are admitted to maintenance works.
To ensure reliable and correct operation of the equipment, the indications specifi ed in this operation
manual should be observed.
The inspection and the repair shall only be performed after disconnecting the motor (the facility
where the motor is located) from the supply mains.
Excessive contaminations, dust or chips may impair the motor performance; in particular cases it
may result in the total failure of the electric motor.
The insuffi
cient heat dissipation may result in unfavourable conditions. Inadmissibly high
temperatures result in the reduction of the service life. Switch off in case of overheating, irrespective
of the operation under the set parameters, if the appropriate cooling is not provided.
Check the connection status and tighten the fastening screws as appropriate. If the structure of the
facility where the motor is located provides for the forced ventilation, the fi lters shall be periodically
replaced (cleaned).
The electric motor (the facility where the electric motor is located) shall be protected from the direct
ingress of moisture inside the housing.
The electric motor shall be maintained simultaneously with the equipment (facility) comprising it,
and consists in the inspection of the housing integrity and reliable fi xing of connection cables.
Maintenance works shall be performed by qualifi ed personnel only.
