Connecting the console cable
Connect the console cable before configuring the LSQM1WCMB0 using a console
terminal device (such as a PC):
1.
Connect the DB-9 female connector of the console cable to the serial port of the
PC.
2.
Connect the RJ-45 connector of the console cable to the console port of the
LSQM1WCMB0. Be sure to plug the cable into the correct port.
CAUTION:
When the LSQM1WCMB0 is powered on, H3C recommends using the following order when
connecting or disconnecting the console cable:
When connecting the LSQM1WCMB0 to a PC, first connect the DB-9 connector of the console
cable to the PC and then connect the RJ-45 connector to the LSQM1WCMB0.
When removing the connection, first unplug the RJ-45 connector and then unplug the DB-9
connector.
Removing and installing the LSQM1WCMB0
This section describes how to remove and install the LSQM1WCMB0 module. This module is hot
swappable.
Removing the LSQM1WCMB0
1.
Face the front side of the switch.
2.
Using a Philips screwdriver, loosen the captive screws on the access controller
module.
3.
Simultaneously pivot the ejector levers of the access controller module away from
the front panel to detach the board from the backplane.
4.
Gently pull the access controller module out of the slot along the guide rails.
5.
If the slot is to remain empty, install a blank filler panel to prevent dust from getting
into the switch chassis and ensure good ventilation.
Installing the LSQM1WCMB0 module
1.
Face the front side of the switch.
2.
Choose an empty slot and remove the blank filler panel.
3.
Push the access controller module into slot along the guide rails until the positioning
hole of the board is seated onto the positioning pin on the backplane.
