Setting terminal parameters
To configure and manage the switch through the console port, you must run a terminal emulator
program, TeraTermPro or PuTTY, on your PC. For more information about the terminal emulator
programs, see the user guides for these programs.
Run the terminal emulator program on our PC and set the terminal parameters as follows:

Starting the switch
Pre-startup checklist
Before powering on the switch, verify that the following conditions are met:
•
The power cord is correctly connected.
•
The power source voltage is as required by the switch.
•
The console cable is correctly connected.
•
The configuration terminal (a PC, for example) has started, and the terminal parameters have
been set correctly.
