Water Level Switch WPS 5000
4. gettIng starteD/functIonal test
After mounting both the water detector and a sensor, a functional test must be
performed. The mains plug of the water detector should be plugged into an
earthed socket (220–240 V/AC), mounted according to the VDE regulations.
A small bar will run through the LED display from the left to the right (
-
). This
signals the operational readiness of the device. To check the operation of the
sensor/circuit (without connected devices) and the relay bridge, cover the water
sensor with a little water or any conductive object. The green LED indicates
a contact and the time (default 30 seconds) starts to count down. After the
delay time the switching of the relay can be heard and the yellow LED (relay) is
illuminated. If the bridge contact at the sensor is interrupted before the delay time
has run down, the counter is reset and the relay will not switch until a new contact
is established at the sensor.
note:
do not connect pumps to do the test. Dry running pumps can be
damaged and overheat if they are not connected to water.
factory settIngs
To reset the device to factory settings press and hold the “SET” button and plug
in the power cord into the mains. All parameters will be reset to factory settings.
aDjustIng the DetectIon resIstance
On delivery, the value is set to 100 kOhm. If necessary the value can be
increased or decreased between 10k Ohm and 200 kOhm.
