The pump should be de-aerated and flushed with clean water as needed.

Inspections and Maintenance Safety Instruction
Before any maintenance of the pump, stop the electric current supply (unplug) and make sure that the pump is not being put in
operation.
Only a unit maintained and cared for on a regular basis may be a serviceable aid. Insufficient maintenance and care may result
in emergencies and unforeseen accidents.
