5.2.4.7 Verifying Counting Accuracy
At the Real-Time Activity Monitoring screen,
1. Compare counts shown in the Real-Time Activity Monitoring screen to visual counts. The counts
should match. Also, when a lane contains “speed traps”, the count on the lead sensor should
match the count on the lag sensor for the percentage of the vehicles that are not switching
lanes at the speed trap.
5.2.4.8 Timing Settings for Delay and Extension
1. Click the
Timing tab to set Delay time and/or Extension time.
When Delay timing is greater than 0 seconds, the channel switch (call) output will turn ON
delay time after a vehicle is detected provided that vehicle is still present after delay time
expires.
When Extension timing is greater than 0.00 seconds, the switch (call) output will remain ON for
Extension time after the vehicle is no longer detected. If another vehicle is detected before
extension timing expires, the call output will remain ON until extension time after the last
vehicle.
