The inside of the dust collector can be washed or wiped with a damp cloth.

dust container is fully dry before re-fitting to the unit

Cleaning the Dust Collector and Filter
To ensure long and reliable service and to maintain optimum performance and suction
power the filter should be cleaned regularly.
CAUTION: do not accidentally turn the unit on while cleaning it.
The filter can be quickly cleaned by tapping against the side of a waste bin to release
dust trapped in the filter.
The filter is washable and for more thorough cleaning can be washed under running
water. Remove the foam filter before cleaning.
Ensure the filter is fully dry before
re-fitting into the dust collector.
WARNING: do not use water, solvents, or polishes to clean the outside of the
unit. Wipe clean with a dry cloth.
WARNING: never immerse the unit in water and do not clean in a dishwasher
WARNING: never use the unit without the filter fitted.
