GENERAL MAINTENANCE FOR THE GOLF SKATE CADDY
The Golf Skate Caddy’s maintenance is very simple and straight forward and can be
undertaken by any golf club mechanic or handy person.
TYRES:
• These should be maintained at 35psi, this should be checked every week, always
ensure they have valve caps fitted.
• Check for excessive wear, tyres can be rotated with the drive wheel which will
wear more quickly than non-drive wheels.
• Tyres are split rims, take apart by letting air out of inner tube, removing bolts and
splitting rim. When replacing reverse procedure - but be careful not to pinch inner
tube against both section of wheel.
BELT DRIVE:
The belt drive needs regular checking every week to ensure problem free travel. If the
belt is clicking upon breaking or acceleration it’s time to change it. To change the belt
follow these instructions:
• Remove the drive wheel by undoing the axle nut and washers. Grab the wheel with
both hands turn clockwise and pull up on the wheel to remove from the axle.
• Remove the cowling panel by undoing the two allen screws to expose the belt.
• Inspect and replace the belt.
• Replace cowling panel.
• Place the wheel back over the axle, with two hands rotate the wheel clockwise and
place some downward pressure at the same time being careful not to crush the belt.
• Once the wheels has properly connected with the belt you may hear a click which
is great.
• Replace the washers and axle nut, being careful not to over tighten.
IF FITTED WITH A BELT TENSIONING SYSTEM
• Remove wheel & cowling cover as previously described
• You will see tensioning spring – compress this with your fingers
• Insert a locking key or small allen key through hole at back of cowling closest to the motor.
• This will lock the spring into place
• Replace the belt, then cowling cover and wheel as previously described
• Finally remove locking pin to re-engage the belt tensioning system.
FRONT & REAR AXLE:
• The front and rear axles are preset and do not need adjustment. You should
never remove the compression suspension springs yourself as they installed under
pressure. Removal may cause injury. Contact your authorised GSC™ agent if you
suspect there is something wrong with your axle or suspension.
