Connecting a digital amplifier
The digital multi-channel sound of a DVD can best be decoded and played with
a multi-channel audio/video amplifier (Dolby* digital decoder or DTS).

Plug a standard cinch cable or optical cable into one of the »
DIGITAL
AUDIO OUT
« sockets on the DVD player and into the appropriate socket
on the digital multi-channel amplifier.
Note:
The correct digital output format must be set on the DVD player. To do this,
you must observe the settings in the section entitled ”Adapting digital output
to a digital multi-channel amplifier”, starting on page 54.
