Protect your environment

Ń

!

Old appliances should not be thrown away with
ordinary domestic refuse. At the end of its service
life, hand the receiver in at appropriate recycling
systems.

Ń

!

Used remote control batteries do not belong in
household waste.
Hand batteries in at appropriate collecting points.

These operating instructions were printed on recy-
cled paper. This helps to protect our environment.

Ǻ

Ń

!

This satellite receiver is intended for receiving pic-
ture and sound signals. Any other use is expressly
prohibited.

Ń

!

Ensure that your receiver is not splashed with
water.

Ń

!

Protect the receiver from moisture!

Ń

!

Ensure also that the ventilation slots are not
covered.

Ń

!

Do not place your receiver close to a heater.
Heat build-up in the receiver is a source of danger
and reduces the service life.

Ń

!

If the unit is operated in shelves, sufficient ventila-
tion must be ensured!

If you do not use the receiver for long periods (e.g.
during holidays), please remove the power plug.

Ǻ

Ń

!

Even when switched off, the unit can be damaged
by lightning striking the mains and/or the aerial
lead.
During thunderstorms you should therefore always
disconnect the mains and aerial plugs.

Ń

!

The receiver and remote control can be cleaned
using a soft cloth. Do not use any abrasive sub-
stances or chemicals.

Ń

!

Warning!
Lithium battery in the receiver.
Explosion hazard when not handled correctly.
Must only be replaced by a specialist (as described
in the repair manual).

GRUNDIG Environment
Initiative

For this satellite receiver, technology and ecology
form a convincing overall idea. Only ecologically
high-grade materials are used. A high percentage of
the plastic parts have been fabricated with recycled
material. The batteries supplied are free of mercury
and cadmium. To enable a high-grade recycling
after use, the number of plastic parts has conse-
quently been reduced. All large plastic parts are
marked. Plastic parts from old devices are recycled
in GRUNDIG recycling plants and flow back into
production. To facilitate service and for optimum
recycling, this device has been designed in a speci-
ally disassembly-friendly and recy-
cling-friendly way.

Because of its low power
consumption (below 2 W) in
stand-by, this device obtained
the GRUNDIG environment
signet.
