Radiotext

Some RDS stations transmit “radiotext” information. This is additional infor-
mation about the station and its programme.

Select a channel position with an RDS station by pressing »

Activate the ”radiotext” function by pressing »

– If the selected RDS station offers ”radiotext”, »TEXT« appears in the

display, and the ”radiotext” offered appears as a message in the dis-
play.

Note:

The speed at which the message is displayed can be increased by hold-
ing »

« pressed down.

If “radiotext” is not provided by the selected station, »

NO TEXT

«

appears in the display, then the station frequency.

Exit function by pressing »

– The »TEXT« indicator disappears.

PTY programme type code

RDS provides the option of selecting FM stations according to programme
type. A total of 16 programme types are defined.

– Display: »PTY« and the programme type of the selected radio station.
