the mains supply and is part of the device certification. Please order only replacement mains cable

89/336/EEC directive on electromagnetic compatibility.
The television set complies with the following standards: EN 60065, EN 55013, EN 55020
The television set conforms to the regulation on protection from damage from X-ray emissions. X-ray
emissions from the picture tube are adequately screened and completely harmless. 
Unauthorised handling, in particular modification of the high-voltage or installation of a picture tube
of a different type may result in X-ray emissions of inadmissible strength. Devices modified in this
way no longer conform to this certification and may not be used.
