SAFETY AND SET-UP ________________________

Please read this instruction manual thoroughly 

prior to using this device! Follow all safety 

instructions in order to avoid damage due to 

improper use!
Keep the instruction manual for future reference. 

Should this device be given to a third party, this

This appliance is intended for in household use 

only. It is not designed for professional use in:

– staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other 

working environments;

– farm houses;

– hotels, motels, and other residential type envi-

ronments

– bed and breakfast type environments.

Do not use the appliance outdoors or in the 

bathroom.

Check if the mains voltage on the rating label 

corresponds to your local mains supply. The 

only way to disconnect the appliance from the 

mains is to pull the plug from the receptacle.

For additional protection, this device should be 

connected to a household current fault protec-

tion circuit breaker for no more than 30 mA. 

Consult an electrician for advice.

Do not immerse the appliance, power cord, or 

power plug in water or any other liquids; do not 

hold under running water and do not clean any 

parts in the dishwasher. Only the permanent 

filter and glass jug can be cleaned safely in the 

dishwasher or with water.

Disconnect the power plug after using the ap-

pliance, before cleaning the appliance, before 

leaving the room, or if a fault occurs. Do not 

disconnect the plug by pulling on the cord.

Prevent damage to the power cord by not 

squeezing, bending, or rubbing it on sharp 

edges. Keep the cord away from hot surfaces 

and open flame.

Do not use an extension cord with the appli-

ance.

Never use the appliance if the power cord or the 

appliance is damaged.

Our GRUNDIG Household Appliances meet 

applicable safety standards, therefore if the ap-

pliance or power cord is damaged, it must be 

repaired or replaced by the dealer, a service 

centre, or a similarly qualified and authorized 

service person to avoid any danger. Faulty or 

unqualified repair work may be dangerous and 

cause risk to the user.

Do not dismantle the appliance under any cir-

cumstances. No warranty claims are accepted 

for damage caused by improper handling.

Always keep the appliance out of the reach of 

children.

The appliance should not be used by the follow-

ing persons, including children: those with limited 

physical, sensory or mental capabilities and also 

those with a lack of experience and knowledge. 

This does not apply to the latter if they were 

instructed in the use of the appliance or, if they 

use it under the supervision of a person respon-

sible for their safety. Children should always be 

supervised to ensure that they do not play with 

the appliance.

as it is in use. Extreme caution is advised when 

the appliance is being used near children and

all parts which come into contact with water

Dry the appliance and all accessories before 

connecting it to mains supply and before attach-

ing any parts.

pliance on or near hot surfaces such as a gas 

burner, electric burner or heated oven.

Do not use the appliance for anything other than 

its intended use. The Coffee maker is designed 

for preparing coffee. Do not use the appliance 

to heat any other liquids, tinned, jarred, and bot-

tled foods.

Never use the appliance in or near to combusti-

ble, inflammable places and materials.
