«.
If AIM memory is on and car radio is off:
– Traffic announcements that are older than
6 hours are deleted.
– If the car radio is not switched on for one
week with TIMER preselected (set switch-on
times), switching on of the TIMER will be
suppressed until the car radio is switched
on again (current consumption).
Some vehicles, when being exited, indicate
sources of current consumption that have not
been switched off, e.g. lights. This may also
be the case when the AIM memory of your car
radio is in standby mode.
Ask your car dealership whether this applies
to your vehicle and what can be done to reme-
dy this problem. In most cases it is sufficient
to connect connection A7 (+12 V) of the car
radio directly to the battery and
connection A8 (– earth) of the car radio
directly to the vehicle earth.
Line cross-section at least 1,5 mm

.
For safety reasons it is imperative that a fuse
holder (with fuse 16 A) is used for connecting
the b12 V with connection A7 of the
car radio! The fuse holder should be placed
directly (short cable) at the battery.
