8. Starting up the product after
standstill
If the lifting station has been stopped for a long time,
for example in a holiday house during winter, you
must remove any hard deposits from the bottom of
the tank.
If you hear a unusual noise when the pumps start, the
pumps may blocked. Close the isolating valve on the
inlet side and remove the blockage before you start
the system again. You may need to dismantle the
pump.

9. Servicing the product
WARNING
Biological hazard
Death or serious personal injury
‐
Wear protective gloves, close the
isolating valves and drain the tank
before you start any work on the tank.
According to EN 12056, lifting stations in family
houses must be maintained at least once a year, in
blocks of flats twice a year and in commercial
buildings four times a year.
We recommend that you enter a maintenance
contract with Grundfos to ensure a consistent
operational safety of the system.
Regular checks of the system must include the
following:
•
Check for deposits at the bottom of the tank.
•
Check for leakage.
•
Check that the float switch, if any, can move
freely.
•
Check that the pump is in correct position.
For pump maintenance, see the installation and
operating instructions of the pump. It is easy to
remove the pumps from the tank thanks to the flexible
connecting pipes and clamps.
