LOUDSPEAKER CONNECTIONS
- The total impedance must not be lower than 2 ohms.
- Never connect loudspeaker cables with the ground of the chassis or the +12 V supply voltage.
If the amplifier is operated with a too low impedance or incorrectly used, the entire sound system
may be damaged. This means a warranty void in such cases.
SIGNAL OUTPUTS TO CONNECT ADDITIONAL AMPLIFIERS
The input signal on the INPUT jacks (Fig. 1,9) will be routed in stereo to the output jacks OUTPUT
(Fig. 1, 8). Thus the OUTPUT jack allows the connection of an additional amplifier.
OPERATING ELEMENTS
The input sensitivity can be adjusted to any headunit. Turn the volume control of your headunit to the
center medium position and then adjust the input level controls (Fig. 1,7) until you have an average
medium level. This setting usually provides sufficient power reserves at optimum signal-to-noise ratio.
INPUT SENSITIVITY
If the amplifier is used to drive a subwoofer, set the switch (Fig. 1, 5) to "LP/BP". Set the desired cross-
over frequency by using the controller (Fig. 1, 4). Thus to that only the frequencies below the chosen
cross-over frequency will be amplified and the subwoofer(s) plays more accurate and efficient.
VARIABLE LOWPASS FILTER
With the subsonic/highpass controller (Fig. 1,6) you can adjust the lower cross-over frequency in the
lowpass mode ”LP/BP”, to filter the very low frequencies to relieve the subwoofer or to generate a
bandpass signal. If you don’t want to use this function, turn the controller to the very left to the 15 Hz
position.
NOTE:
The adjusted value of the subsonic-/highpass controller (Fig. 1,6) should not be higher than
the adjusted value of the lowpass controller (Fig. 1,4). Otherwise no sound will be hearable.
VARIABLE SUBSONIC/HIGHPASS FILTER
With the bass boost controller (Fig.1, 3) you are able to adjust the bass level from 0 - 12 dB at 45 Hz.
VARIABLE BASS BOOST
If the amplifier is to be used for mid-range/tweeter loudspeakers, set the switch (Fig. 1,5) to "HP". Set
the desired cross-over frequency on controller (Fig.1, 6). Thus to that only the frequencies above the
chosen cross-over frequency will be amplified. This effectively minimizes distortions and overloads at
lower frequencies. For bigger loudspeakers (>20 cm) set the switch (Fig. 1,5) to ”FULL”. In this
configuration the subsonic/highpass controller (Fig.1, 6) is without function.
With the included bass level cable remote controller you are able to adjust the bass level e.g. out of the
driver’s seat.
