Press the primer (11) 10 times until fuel is
visible in it.
Pull the starter handle (20) until the engine is
about to start, but no more than 5 times.
Push the choke in.
Pull the starter handle until the engine starts.
Allow the engine to warm up for 30 seconds.
Deactivate the chain brake.
Press the throttle (17) and the safety switch
(13) in to use the chainsaw.
Be aware that the chain moves around once
you rev up the engine
!
The chain must not move around when
the engine idles
. I f it does , adjust the idling
s p eed as described under Carburettor
adjustment in the Maintenance section .
Starting a warm engine
The warm engine start p rocedure is the same
as f or cold , exce p t that you do not need to
p ull the choke out .
Stopping the engine
Release the throttle and allow the engine to
idle
f or a cou p le o f minutes .
Push the on/o ff button down to the “O”
p osition .
Running in the engine
The engine should be run in f or the fi rst 2 0
o
p
erating hours
.
Avoid running at
f
ull revs or
at high s p eed f or p rolonged p eriods in the
fi rst 2 0 o p erating hours .
Automatic chain lubrication
You can adjust the lubrication using the
adjustment screw on the underside o
f the
saw .
Start the chainsaw and
p
oint the blade down
towards a tree stum p or similar . I f an oil stain
a pp ears on the tree stum p, the automatic
chain lubrication is f unctioning correctly . I f it
is not , remove the chain and blade and clean
the oil f eed hole . I f this does not hel p, take
the saw to an authorised re p air sho p.
