Gasoline or petroleum products used
to clean the tool could explode caus-
ing serious personal injury.   DO NOT
use gasoline or petroleum products
to clean the tool.

Cleaning The Buffer

• Use only a mild soap to clean the bon-

nets.

• Wash the bonnets by hand and hang

dry.

• When not in use, remove the bonnets

and store the buffer with the pad facing
up. This allows the pad to retain its orig-
inal form.

• Periodically clean the buffer with a dry

cotton cloth. DO NOT use flammable
products or spray cleaners.

Carbon Motor Brushes

The Model H3143 has a brush-type electric
motor. Because the buffer needs to be dis-
assembled to gain access to the brushes,
servicing them should only be performed
by a qualified technician.

Repairs

The Model H3143 is a double insulated
and UL

®

listed tool which should only be

repaired by a qualified technician. DO NOT
attempt to open the tool housing or per-
form any electrical repairs. Contact our
Customer Service Department if the tool
stops working or malfunctions.
