Lubrication Frequency ........... 8 hrs. of Operation
Without disturbing the grease on the quill rack,
clean the outside smooth surface of the quill (see
Figure 42) with mineral spirits and shop rags.

When dry, apply a thin coat of lubricant to the
smooth surface, then move the spindle up and
down to evenly distribute the oil.
Table Leadscrews
Lube Type .. Model SB1365 or ISO 68 Equivalent
Lube Amount ........................................Thin Coat
Lubrication Frequency ......... 40 hrs. of Operation
Move the table as necessary to access the entire
length of the X- and Y-axis leadscrews (see
Figures 43–44), then use mineral spirits, shop
rags, and a brush to clean them.
Note: Use a 4mm hex wrench to remove the
way cover from the base to access the Y-axis
leadscrew.
When dry, use a clean brush to apply a thin coat
of oil to the leadscrew threads, then move the
table through the X- and Y-axis paths to distribute
the oil.
