Always disconnect the plug from
the mains socket before working on
the trimmer..
Any work that is not described in
these Instructions must be car-
ried out by a servicing agency
authorized by us. Only use
original parts and be very careful
with the line cutter during instal-
lation work. Danger of injury!
Cleaning
Clean and care for your equipment regu-
larly.
Do not jet water onto the trimmer
and do not clean it under flowing
water. This would result in the
danger of an electric shock and
the trimmer could be damaged.
Do not use cleaning agents or sol-
vents. You may otherwise irrepara
-
bly damage the appliance.
• Clean grass and dirt from the cutting
device and protective cover after each
cutting process.
• Ensure that the ventilation slots are
always clean and free of grass.
• Clean the trimmer with a soft brush or
a cloth.
Exchanging the line spool
Never manipulate the cutting de-
vice by inserting worn out origi-
nal or alien parts. Only use origi-
nal spare parts. Never use metal
lines. The use of alien parts can
result in serious personal injury
and cause irreparable damage
to the trimmer and the guarantee
will become instantly null and
void.
1. Disconnect the plug from the
mains socket.
2. Simultaneously press the two
locks on the cutting head (14)
and remove the hood.
3. Remove the line spool (11) from
the cutting head (10).
4. Thread the end of the thread
through the thread outlet eye
(15) and place the replacement
thread reel (11) on the cutting
head (10). Ensure that the spring
(16) is located correctly.
5. Fit the reel cover (14). It clicks in
audibly.
Check the thread cutter. Do not
use the equipment without a
thread cutter or with a defective
thread cutter. Contact one of our
customer service centres.
