Frequently Asked Questions
Will the Gateway continue working if it loses its Internet connection?
Yes, the Gateway will continue working. If the Internet indicator is red, the Gateway is not connected
to the Internet.
Even if there is no Internet connection, the Gateway remains active and will continue to communicate with
your PowerNodes and connected devices. The Gateway stores information from these devices in its internal
memory and then immediately sends the information to your online account when the Gateway regains Internet
connectivity (when the red internet indicator turns off).
During the time the Gateway is not connected to the Internet, you will not be able to control your devices
through your online account (through the Web or your smartphone) since your Gateway requires Internet
connectivity to communicate with your online account.
Smart Control Behavior during Internet Disconnection
The Gateway does not natively support Wi Fi connectivity. The Gateway can optionally be connected wirelessly
to the Internet by using a Wi Fi Bridge such as Cisco WGA-600n.
Where can I find the MAC address on the Gateway?
The MAC address is a unique combination of numbers and letters that are used to identify your Gateway. It can
be found on a label on the underside of the Gateway.
