Using the IPM-400 to Read

This function checks continuity.
1.
Turn the Selector knob to

2.
Connect the black and red leads to the meter as shown.
3.
Press the
DISPLAY/SOURCE/READ
button until “READ” or “CONTINUITY” appears.
4.
Press the
TYPE/ENG UNITS
button to select “CONTINUITY”.
5.
Disconnect one or both input wires from the device being calibrated.
6.
Connect the red (+) lead and the black (–) lead of the meter across the resistance to be
measured. A tone sounds and
appears on the display when the resistance between
the leads is less than approximately 100
Ω
