The following information on hazards and precautions includes the most likely situations that may arise during use of
this machine. Consult all product documentation, packaging and labels before use.
If you encounter a situation not described in this manual, use common sense to use the machine as safely as possible
and if you see danger, do not use the machine.
USERS

This product has been designed to be handled by users of legal age who have read and understood these
instructions. Do not allow underage persons or persons who do not understand these instructions to use the
product.

Before using this product, familiarize yourself with it. Make sure you know where all the controls are, the safety
devices and how they should be used.
•
If you are an inexperienced user we recommend that you practice doing simple work and, if possible, in the
company of an experienced person.
PERSONAL SAFETY

Don’t force this machine. Use this machine, accessories, tools, etc. according to these instructions, taking into
account the conditions and the work to be carried out. Using this machine for unintended purposes can cause
a dangerous situation.

Be alert, watch what you’re doing when you drive this machine.
•
Avoid unintentional start-up of the unit. Make sure the switches are in the off position before connecting the
machine to an electrical power source.
•
Do not use this machine when tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medications.
•
Check that all security features are installed and in good condition. Do not use this machine if any of its
components are damaged.
•
Operate the machine only when it is on a fixed, stable, level surface. Slippery or unstable surfaces may cause a
loss of balance or control of the machine.
•
Secure or screw the tool securely to a workbench or suitable surface.
•
Do not have any part of the body in line with the trajectory of the workpiece because of the danger of it being thrown.
•
Be careful when sanding/grinding that the workpiece will catch on the machine or be thrown.
•
Make sure there is no debris, protrusions, etc. between the workpiece and the work supports.
•
Do not use workpieces that are too small to hold securely in your hands.
•
Use an additional support for large or heavy workpieces or for objects that may tip over if they are not attached
to the work supports.
•
Do not sand or grind more than one workpiece on a lime.
•
Always hold the workpiece with the work supports and make sure that the belt/disc pushes the workpiece
toward the work support during sanding. Do not use worn or damaged belts/discs.
•
Maintain a maximum distance of 1.6 mm between the working supports and the sanding belt/disc.
•
Sand always according to the direction arrows.
•
Do not perform any freehand operation.
•
Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry that could be caught by moving parts.
•
Do not leave this machine running unattended.
WORK CLOTHES
•
Dress appropriately. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry that could get caught in moving parts.
