CHARGING THE BATTERY
Battery packs are shipped in low charge conditions to avoid potential problems. Therefore, you
should charge them until the green LED on the front of the charger lights up.
If the charger does not charge the battery under normal circumstances, return the battery pack
and charger to the nearest authorized service center to verify electricity.
TO LOAD
• Use the battery only with the recommended charger.
• Connect the charger to the power supply. Make sure the power supply is a normal household
voltage, 100-240 volts, AC only, 50-60Hz.
• Make sure the charger latch clicks into place and the battery is secured in the charger before
starting operation.
• Slide the battery along the slot in the charger.
• Press down on the battery to ensure that the battery contacts connect correctly with the
charger contacts.
• Do not place the charger and battery in an area of extreme heat or cold. They will work best
at normal room temperature.
NOTE:
The charger and battery should be placed in a place where the temperature
is above 10°C but below 40°C.
• The battery will warm up to the touch during charging. This is normal and does not indicate
a problem.
• When charging is complete, the green LED on the charger will remain on until the battery is
removed from the charger or the charger is removed from the power supply.
• When the batteries are fully charged, unplug the charger from the power supply and remove
the battery.
• To remove the battery from the charger, press the latch on the charger.
CHARGING A HOT BATTERY PACK
If the battery is above the normal temperature range, the red LED on the charger and the
green LED will start flashing. When the battery cools to approximately 50°C, the charger will
automatically start the quick charge mode.
LOW TEMPERATURE OPERATION
The LITIO-ION battery can be used at temperatures down to -10°C. Place the battery in a tool
and use the tool in a light duty application. After approximately one minute, the packet will have
warmed up and will start operating normally.
