If you need to verify the relative accuracy of the device or register the cloud with geographical coordinates, you can collect points in handheld
scanning mode. The installation method is slightly different from the backpack scanning mode, but the data collection method is completely
the same.
5.9.1 Device assembly for point collection
To assemble the unit for collecting points: Install one of the top fixtures on the top of the scanning sensor, install the other top fixture on the
bottom fixture, and then insert the scanning sensor into the bottom fixture, and finally connect the scanning sensor and the backpack
mainbody by a connection cable. The operation is shown in the figure below:
Install one of the top fixtures on the top of the scanning sensor, install the other top fixture on the bottom fixture.
Mount the fixture
Align the red dots to insert the handheld extension cable into the laser scanner, and then insert the laser scanner into the bottom fixture.
Screw tightly to fix the connection. Then, align the red dots to insert the handheld extension cable into the backpack mainbody.
