Is this a machine that has just 
been assembled and installed? 

Yes 

No 

Open the motor cover, 
check the D8 lamp.  
Does it illuminate? 

No 

Motor controller faulty.  
Replace the motor 
controller. 

Check the console wires.  
They should not be crushed, 
pinched or cut.  Refer to 
photos at right. 

Open the console and 
refer to page 6 and 
measure the voltages 
of Pin 11 and 12 of the 
upper console.  Does 
it have 12V power? 

Yes 

Replace the 
console wire. 

No 

Yes 

Replace the 
console PCB. 

Did all keys loose function? 

Open the console and refer to page 6 to 
short circuit the pins of the console PCB 
related to the non-functional key(s).  
Does the key work with the pins shorted 
without the membrane or switch? 

For example, if the speed key did not 
work, short circuit pins 2 and 5 of J2.  If 
the console is good, the speed should 
change.  

Replace the 
console PCB. 

Turn OFF the AC power.  
Wait for 10 seconds then 
turn ON the AC power.  Are 
the keys working properly? 

Yes 

Yes 

No 

No 

No 

Replace the membrane key or 
the switch PCB. 

Yes 

Caused by external noise.  
Need to determine source 
and check again.
