Wing Folding Assist
Whisker Switch
The whisker switch (1) is located on the front left light
bracket (2).
21. This switch is necessary to achieve transport width under
3 meters by diverting oil flow via solenoids to retract the
wing torque tubes during fold. It is only active when the
“whisker” of the switch is contacted by the wing frame
and bent from its central axis.
22. When the switch becomes activated during fold, it will
retract the wing torque tubes fully during completion of
the fold cycle.
23. It will also activate during unfold to extend the wing
torque tubes during completion of the unfold cycle.
24. You may need to extend the lift hydraulics to level the
wings with the rest of the machine during unfold.
Hydraulic Down Pressure
This setup procedure is for tractors with closed-center
or pressure compensated flow hydraulic systems.
Open center hydraulics not supported. Adjust down
pressure valve as shown on Operator Instruction
decal (located on front of left truss).
25. Engage the hydraulics (continuous flow) down.
26. From the cab, adjust the flow so the needle on the bypass
gauge (3) is in the green zone 1000-1500PSI. Running the
pressure closer to 1000 PSI is best.
27. At the valve, adjust the valve (4) to set your initial down
pressure (5) (usually 300-400). Do not exceed 800 PSI.
