CONTROLS AND FEATURES
See Figure 9 for all Controls and Features locations.
Throttle Lever
Move lever to FAST (1) position to increase
engine speed. Move lever to SLOW (2) position
to decrease engine speed.
Deck Lift Lever
Push lever forward to FLOAT (1)
position for mowing.
Place lever in HOLD (2) position to
hold mower in current position.
Pull lever backwards to LIFT (3)
position to lift mower.
IMPORTANT:
Disengage PTO
before pulling lever back to LIFT.
Cutting Height Lever
To lower attachment, move lever forward.
To raise attachment, move lever rearward.
PTO Switch
The power take-off switch is used to engage and
disengage the attachment.
Lift switch to engage (1) attachment.
Push switch down to disengage (2) attachment.
Cylinder Stops
The cylinder stops ensure deck lowers to same cutting
height after raising the deck to clear an obstacle. The stops
are stored on a post mounted on the mower frame.
The stops are supplied in two (2) sizes. The thinner stops
change the cutting height by 1/4" (.64 cm). The thicker stops
change the cutting height by 1/2" (1.27 cm).
1. Remove cylinder stops from post and snap onto the lift
cylinder rod.
2. Push deck height lever forward until cylinder rests
against cylinder stops.
TO STOP IN AN EMERGENCY
Turn ignition key to OFF.
PRE-START
Refer to tractor’s owner manual for tractor pre-starting and
operation.
Transport the equipment to the area to be mowed.
Set cutting height. See Service and Adjustments.
ENGAGING MOWER
Refer to tractor’s owner’s manual for tractor starting and
shut off.
To start mower:
1. Remove foot from direction control pedal to place unit
in neutral.
2. Move throttle lever to half speed.
3. Engage PTO.
4. Move the throttle lever to FAST.
5. Depress direction control pedal to choose desired
speed and direction.
To disengage mower, disengage PTO. Keep the PTO
disengaged when not mowing.
