6. Reconnect the deck belt tension rod and
tighten the 3/8-16" nut until the tension
spring measures 5-9/16” from hook end-
to-hook end. Tighten the other nut
against the rod bracket to lock. Install
both deck belt shields.
7. Reinstall the drive belt idler pulley
standoff arm, ensuring the rod end is
inserted in its bracket near the clutch.
Lightly lubricate the pivot bushings with
MP Lithium grease, install and retain
with the removed 3/8-16" fasteners.
8. Reinstall or reconnect the drive belt
according to
Drive Belt Removal and
Installation
instructions.
Pump Belt Removal and Installation
1. Make sure the mower is on a firm level
surface, the PTO switch is off, the
engine is shut off, the steering control
levers are in the park position, the
negative battery cable is removed, and
the lift control lever is unlocked.
2. Place the deck in the highest position.
3. Release the deck belt tension by
disengaging the deck tension arm.
Remove the belt from the electric clutch.
It is not necessary to remove the belt
from any other pulleys.
4. Release the tension from the pump belt
by loosening the outside jam nut on the
threaded rod bolt. Then back off inside
nut to remove tension. Pull back on the
tension arm and pull the belt out from
behind the pulley.
5. Slide the belt off of the engine pulley.
Slide the belt above the engine pulley to
allow the belt to be removed from the
other pulleys.
6. Slide the belt off of the pump pulleys.
7. Install the new belt by sliding it above
the engine pulley. Route the belt as
shown in figure 33.
8. First tighten nut on outside of frame fully
first to set the proper tension. Then
tighten inside nut to lock the position of
the threaded rod.
9. Reinstall the deck belt drive on the
clutch and make sure it is routed
properly on all pulleys.
10. Engage the deck tension by returning
the deck tension arm back to the slot.

11. Reattach the negative battery cable.
