FRU functional descriptions
FRU functional descriptions
The M-Series has several Field Replaceable Units (FRUs) that you can replace
yourself. FRUs described in this section are as follows:

“Base chassis”

“Front Panel and cable”
•
“Media drives”
•
“Floppy, CD, DVD drives”
•
“Power Supply”
•
“Fan module”
For procedures, refer to

Base chassis
For some serious system faults or for mechanical damage the entire iVDR, as
described earlier in this chapter, can be replaced as a base chassis FRU. Refer to
“Replacing an iVDR” on page 46
.
