Chapter 4 - Menu navigation
4.5 User files
User files contain camcorder settings. Go to the
SYSTEM
>
FILES
menu to manage (recall and
store) these files. The tables in the chapter
“Side panel menu” on page 125
and chapter
“Viewfinder menu” on page 143
indicate which settings are stored in which user file.
4.5.1 Scene files
Scene files contain settings related to picture performance and image adjustment (e.g. colour,
gain and detail). Up to five scene files (Scene1 to Scene4 and Customer) can be stored in the
camcorder while more files can be stored on a USB-stick. A ‘recall only’ Factory file is available
that contains factory default scene settings.
Standard recall
Pushing the
Standard Recall button
on the left-front side of the camera recalls the standard
scene file. The standard scene file can be either a Factory or Customer file. A Factory file
contains the factory default settings while the Customer file can be defined by the user.
The standard file that is recalled can be set in the
SYSTEM
>
FILES
>
STD
RECALL
MODE
menu.

4.5.2 Production files
Production files contain settings related to production (e.g. video format, compression and
audio settings). Up to five production files (Prod1 to Prod4 and Customer) can be stored in the
camcorder while more files can be stored on a USB-stick. A ‘recall only’ Factory file is available
that contains factory default production settings.
4.5.3 Lens files
Lens files contain settings related to the lens configuration (e.g. white shading). Up to five lens
files (Lens1 to Lens4 and Customer) can be stored in the camcorder while more files can be
stored on a USB-stick. A ‘recall only’ Factory file is available that contains factory default lens
settings.
4.5.4 Operator files
Operator files contain settings related to the operation of the camcorder and personal
preferences (e.g. user button assignments). Up to five operator files (Oper1 to Oper4 and
Customer) can be stored in the camcorder while more files can be stored on a USB-stick. A
‘recall only’ Factory file is available that contains factory default operator settings.

If the camera is on-air when a user file is recalled, then the recalled values do not become
active until the camera goes off air.
