Chapter 7 - Recording setup
7.6.3 Network setup
Before you can use the DMC 1000 camcorder in a C2IP camera network, you need to set the
IP address and camera number.
Setting the camera IP address
1.
Go to the
SYSTEM
>
HARDWARE
>
NETWORK
menu and set the
IP ADDRESS
item. Make
sure that the DMC 1000 has a unique IP address within the Ethernet network.

The default IP address is 192.168.1.10
Setting the camera number
1.
Go to the
SYSTEM
>
HARDWARE
>
NETWORK
menu and set the
CAMERA #
item. Make sure
that the camera number is unique within the C2IP network.

The default camera number is 17.
2.
Press the
SETUP
button on the OCP 400 to enter the setup menu. Use the rotary control
to select the same camera number in the CamNum item.
7.6.4 User level
When the DMC 1000 camcorder is used in a systemized configuration, it is advised to limit the
maximum user level to 0 or 1. Go to the
SYSTEM
>
MAX
USER
LEVEL
in the Viewfinder menu
and select a user level. Refer to the
“Side panel menu” on page 125
to see which items are
accessable for each user level.
7.6.5 Intercom
In the section
“Intercom” on page 90
you can find information about setting up the intercom
functions of the DMC 1000 camcorder.
7.6.6 Remote Tally and ISO recording
You can set up the tally signalling to follow the switcher’s On-Air signal:
1.
Make sure that the On-Air signal from the switcher is connected to the OCP 400. Refer to
the OCP 400 user’s guide for more information.

Go to the
SYSTEM
>
HARDWARE
>
NETWORK
menu and turn the
REMOTE TALLY
item On.

When you start a recording on the camcorder when Remote Tally is On, the tally lights do not
light. The title bar on the side panel display turns Yellow to indicate an ISO recording.
