Routine Maintenance
Fan Filters
The fan filters in the frame power supply need to be cleaned periodically
by vacuuming them from the outside. These filters are located behind the
slots in the lower front and lower front left side of the frame power supply.
Frequency of cleaning depends on the amount of dirt and dust in the
environment. To ensure proper equipment cooling, which prevents heat-
related failures, check the filters frequently and keep them clean.
Fuse Replacement
The system contains the following fuses:
■
AC Connector
5A 3A (F) 3AG
■
Frame Power supply
(AC) 10A (F) 3AG
(-5V) 15A (F) 3AG
(+15V) 3A (F) Mini Fuse
(+9V) 3A (F) Mini Fuse
■
Modules:
(+5V) 30A 3AG.
NOTE:
The Keyer Module has two fuses, one for the module and one for the
submodules.
You can verify that the module fuses are intact by checking that the DC
power LEDs on the front of the frame modules are lit. The LEDs to check
are listed under the Status Indicator heading later in this section.
Turn off power and remove the power cord from the Model 1200 before
touching or removing any frame modules to access fuses.
