Pressure Relief Procedure, page 8

2. Check all possible remedies in the
Troubleshooting Chart before disassembling the
pump.

Restricted air line or inadequate air
supply.
Clear air line or increase air supply.
Insufficient air pressure; closed or
clogged air valves, etc.
Open or clean air valves, etc.
Exhausted fluid supply.
Refill fluid supply.
Pump fails to operate.
Damaged air motor.
Service.
Restricted air line or inadequate air
supply.
Clear air line or increase air supply.
Insufficient air pressure; closed or
clogged air valves, etc.
Open or clean air valves, etc.
Exhausted fluid supply.
Refill fluid supply.
Obstructed fluid line, valves,
dispensing valve, etc.
Clear. Relieve pressure and
disconnect fluid line. Turn on air. If
pump starts, the fluid line is clogged.
Worn throat packing (105).
Replace throat packing.
Pump operates, but output low on
both strokes.
Damaged cylinder o-ring (104).
Replace o-ring.
Held open or worn fluid inlet valve.
Clear or service fluid inlet valve.
Pump operates, but output low on
down stroke.
Damaged cylinder o-ring (104).
Replace o-ring.
Pump operates, but output low on
up stroke.
Held open or worn fluid piston or

Refill fluid supply.
