Shutdown and Care for the
Pump
1. Perform the
Pressure Relief Procedure
, page 9.
2. Stop the pump at the bottom of its stroke.
NOTICE
If the pump stops at the top of its stroke, then fluid
may dry on the exposed displacement rod and
damage the throat packings.
NOTICE
Always flush the pump before fluid dries on the
displacement rod and causes damage.
