To pull up bobbin thread at the end of stitching:

Move the machine away from the tie-off 

stitch.

a

Hold the thread to make a loop and 

return the machine to the tie-off stitch.

b

Make a single stitch over the tie-off.

c

Hold the loop and move the machine 

away from the tie-off again.

d

 Keep moving away from the tie-off until 

a loop of bobbin thread is pulled up 

above the fabric. Cut all threads close to 

the tie-off.
