Front Panel Display
0:00:00 — Shows you the current time,
tape counter, or time remaining until the
end of the tape in the active deck, as set
by the CLK/CTR button. Also briefly
displays the active deck function (Stop,
Play, Rewind, etc.).
Child Lock — Lights to
indicate that the Child Lock
is activated, i.e. the front
panel buttons are disabled
(see page 19).
VCR — Lights to show you that
the Dual-Deck is in VCR mode;
i.e. what you see on screen is
coming from the VCR and NOT
the television, as set by the TV/
VCR button.
Hi-Fi/Stereo Indicators — Light
when you play a Hi-Fi videotape
or watch a TV show broadcast in
stereo (GV6650 only).
Timer — Lights to show you that
a Timer Recording or a One
Touch Recording is stored or in
progress. Blinks if there is a
Timer Recording error.
Record Indicator — Lights
when any recording is in
progress. Blinks when tape is
in Pause mode.
REM — Lights when Time
Remaining is displayed.
AM/PM — Indicates AM or PM
when the Time is displayed.
Tape Speed — (SP, LP, EP)
Shows you the current
Playback or Record Speed for
the active deck.
Digital Tracking— Blinks
when Auto Digital Tracking is
in progress. Lights to show
Tracking is optimized. Turns
off when Tracking is set
manually.
