Avoiding Damage to Material, Property and the Device
■
Always place the device on a dry,
fl
at and
fi
rm surface that is not sensitive to heat.
■
Maintain suf
fi
cient clearance from other sources of heat such as hotplates or stoves
in order to avoid damage to the device.
■
Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, strong temperature
fl
uctuations,
direct sunlight or moisture.
■
Do not drop the device or allow it to be knocked violently.
■
Do not pull or carry the device by the mains cable. Always pull the plug, never the
cable, to remove the mains plug from the plug socket.
■
Make sure that the mains cable is not squashed, bent or laid over sharp edges and
does not come into contact with hot surfaces.
■
Only use the device when it is fully and correctly assembled and in good working
order.
■
Place the inner container in the freezer (at at least -21°C) for at least 12 - 18 hours
before use. Make sure that the container is upright and is not lying on its side. The
container must be dry.
■
Do not move the device during use.
■
The device must be switched on before you pour in the prepared ice cream mixture
in order to prevent the liquid from freezing solid on the inner walls of the inner con-
tainer.
■
Do not over
fi
ll the device. The inner container may only be
fi
lled up to a maximum of
4 cm below the edge as the volume of the ice cream increases during the freezing
process.
■
Do not place any objects,

the device is in operation.
■
Do not use any kitchen utensils made from metal to remove the remaining ice cream
from the inner container. Use utensils made from wood or silicone.
■
The device has an overload protection function. If the motor gets too hot during use,
the device switches off automatically. In this case, you should pull the mains plug
out of the socket, remove the stirring paddle from the inner container as otherwise
it could become frozen solid in the ice cream, and allow the device to cool down
completely before you use it again.
