Proper use
• Check the device for damages prior to each use. If the device,
the cord or the plug exhibit visible damages, the device may not
be used. Do not use the device if it had a malfunction or has
fallen down. Have it checked by an authorised service point.
• Never attempt to repair an electrical device, a mains cord or
mains plug yourself, instead locate the nearest customer ser-
vice centre/quali

ed professional for your own safety. In the
event of damage, contact the customer service department.
• Only use the enclosed accessories from the manufacturer. All
warranty claims are forfeited if accessories are used, which are
not authorised by the manufacturer.
• Do not leave the device unattended when in operation!
• Ensure that children are not able to play with the device. If the
device is in use and children are nearby, make sure that the
children touch neither the device nor the cord.
• ATTENTION Burn hazard! During operation, the device be-
comes hot. Be absolutely sure that you do not come into contact
with the heated parts during and after using the device. Only
touch the handles when the device is in operation or directly
after deactivating it. Only transport and stow the device once it
has cooled off completely. Use suitable kitchen gloves to handle
the device.
• ATTENTION Scalding hazard due to hot steam! The device
emits hot steam. Keep your hands and head away from the dan-
ger zone!
• ATTENTION Scalding hazard due to heat, hot steam or con-
densed water! We recommend using potholders or kitchen
gloves when removing the rice or the cooking container.
