In case the existing plumbing does not enable you to pipe the dripping water
from the return safety valve into the drain, you can avoid the dripping by installing
expansion tank on the inlet water pipe of the boiler. Volume of expansion vessel
represents about 3 % of water tank volume.
WARNING:
The heating pump should not be in operation without water in the hot
water tank, because of danger of destruction of the compressor.
INSTALLATION OF THE HOT WATER TANK AND HEATING
PUMP
Hot water tank with heating pump should be installed in a dry room with temperature
of 7 to 35 °C and minimum volume of 20 m3, protected from the onset of freezing,
if possible close to other heating sources. In general, we recommend installation in
a large and well ventilated room with ambient temperature between 20 and 25 °C
– these are optimum conditions for operation of the heating pump. When selecting
the installation place, avoid dusty places, as dust deposit may impair the operating
characteristics.
