Safety is a top priority for Google. Technicians should work in a safe environment and know how to handle components.
● Wear protective gloves and safety
glasses when handling damaged
glass.
● Use protective film to make removing
displays safer.
● Once removed, store the display in the
service part packaging to prevent
injury to other staff.
● Store batteries in the service
packaging as soon as possible to
prevent damage.
● If a battery begins to vent,
immediately cover in sand or use
gloves and tongs to place battery in a
fire safe.
