Bluetooth Shared Data Loader

(p#BTSDL01) required to use this kit.

External Crankcase Heater Kit

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

DESCRIPTION

The INVCCHK01 external crankcase heater kit will be used

where an off-cycle noise is not acceptable.

The kit disables the internal crankcase heater function en

-

abled in the production shared data file. The kit includes a

temperature control that turns ON/OFF the added external

crankcase heater when the discharge temperature reaches

a  specific  tempera ture  during  operation.  The  temperature

switch has a cut in (98°–112°) and a cut out range (122°–

150°).  When  the  ambient  temperature  is  low  enough,  the

temperature  switch  turns  the  crankcase  heater  ON.  This

heater will allow the compressor oil to heat up before oper-

ation. As the compressor starts running, the discharge tube

will heat up to 150°, at which point, the temperature switch

will turn the crankcase heater OFF. When the compressor

stops running and the discharge tube temperature drops be-

low 102°, the temperature switch turns the crankcase heater

back ON.

After installation of the external crankcase heater kit compo-

nents, a new shared data file must be installed in the PCB board

prior to starting the unit. The new shared data file will dis engage

the compressor motor winding from running when using the ex-

ternal crankcase heater kit. See

 Kit Installation Procedure

on

how to install the crankcase heater kit components.

The Bluetooth Shared Data Loader (p#BTSDL01), along with

the CoolCloud™ phone app, is required to install the specific

shared data file for your legacy ComfortNet™ Brand/Model.

Please refer to the BTSDL01 kit instruction for additional in-

formation on using the Bluetooth Shared Data Loader.
