Water Supply
Water Filter Kit Installation
Water Filter Kit (part # 250-00034)
NOTE: The filter head QL3B comes with both 359-00004
1/4” tube adapters pre-attached.
Water Filter Installation Instructions
1. Install the filter (420-00000) into the filter head
by sliding it into the bottom and turning to lock
in place.
2. Attach the filter head to the back of the RC400
on the two pre-installed screws on the back of
the unit; slide the filter head over the screw
heads and then tighten.
3. Install the fittings (359-00031, 359-00115, and
359-00003) to the water inlet on the back of the
RC400.
4. Slide in the tubing (362-00028) to the quick
connects on the outlet of the filter (359-00004)
and the inlet to the coffee brewer (359-00031).
5. Connect water supply line to the input of the
filter head through the quick connect (359-
00004).
6. Turn on water supply and check for leaks.
7. Turn on RC400 and enjoy the new filtered water
supply.
Power Supply
A dedicated 120 VAC, 60 Hz, 15 Amp, type 5-15,

electrical circuit is required for proper operation.
Always unplug machine before servicing or
•
maintaining the machine.
Place power switch in OFF position and plug power
•
cord into the dedicated three wire 120V, 15A
NEMA 5-15 electrical circuit.

Grindmaster
®
Model RC400
Notice:
The brewer is designed to operate with water
pressures from 20 psig up to 100 psig. Grindmaster
requires the use of an external water filter such as
Water Filter Kit P/N 250-00034. The filter mounts on
the rear surface of the brewer.
Water type: To ensure proper operation of the
electronic controls, do not use reverse osmosis,
distilled, or de-ionized water. Water that does not
contain minerals, impurities and other ions will be
improperly sensed by the brewer and will cause a
malfunction. Use filtered tap water or bottled water.
To reduce limescale build-up, do not use mineral
water.
Water Inlet
Warning
Disconnect power if the machine functions
abnormally and notify qualified service personnel for
repairs. Do not permit non-qualified personnel to
attempt repairs.
There are no user serviceable components inside the
brewer. Do not disassemble brewer.
NOTICE
This appliance is equipped with a three wire power
cord. A dedicated three wire 120V, 15A NEMA 5-15
electrical circuit must be used.
