NOTE: • Lamp bulbs are halogen 12 volt 100 watt H-3 rated at
245,000 candle power
• For fuse location see Wiring Section
• Factory installation of spotlamps is recommended. Special
tooling is used to locate and drill the spotlamp shaft hole in
the windshield pillars. Field installation of spotlamps must not
interfere with proper deployment of the roof rail airbag in the
event of a crash.
• A customer furnished spotlamp assembly must be installed to
avoid interference with proper deployment of roof rail and
passenger side airbags

PROGRAMMING KEYS WITHOUT TRANSMITTERS
A maximum of eight random code ignition keys can be programmed
for a Tahoe Police (PPV) or Special Service Vehicle (SSV). An
unlimited number of ignition keys can be learned if the vehicle is
equipped with either fleet Common Code Option 6E2 or Option 6E8.
(This procedure can also be used to program new ignition keys for
Model Year 2017 Tahoe PPV and SSV vehicles.) Two original ignition
keys are required for this procedure.
Note: If only one previously ignition key is available, the programming
of new keys must be performed by a dealer using the Service
Programming System (SPS). Ignition key programming is not a
warranty item and programming is conducted by the customer or at a
dealer at customer expense.
ADDING KEYS PROGRAMMING PROCEDURE
1. Insert the first of two (2) original ignition keys in the ignition switch and
turn the key to ON/RUN without staring engine.
2. Turn the key to LOCK/OFF and remove the key.
3. Within five (5) seconds, insert the second original ignition key and turn
it to ON/RUN without staring engine.
4. Turn the key to LOCK/OFF and remove the key.
5. Within five (5) seconds, insert the new key to be programmed and turn
it to ON/RUN without staring engine. The Theft Security Light will turn
OFF once the new has been learned.
6. Remove the newly programmed key and repeat steps 1-5 for all
additional new keys.
7. Verify the newly programmed keys will start the vehicle enginge.

PROGRAMMING KEYED ENTRY TRANSMITTERS (RKE)
A maximum of eight transmitters can be programmed for a Tahoe Police
(PPV) or Special Service Vehicle (SSV). The programming procedure for
SEO AMF transmitters requires that both previously learned transmitters
must be present in the vehicle. (This procedure can also be used to
program new transmitters for Model Year 2017 Tahoe PPV and SSV
vehicles.)Two original ignition keys are required for this procedure.
Note: If only one previously learned transmitter is available, the
programming of the new transmitters must be performed by a dealer
using the Service Programming System (SPS). Transmitter programming
is not a warranty item and programming is conducted by the customer or
at a dealer at customer expense.
PROGRAMMING PROCEDURE:
1. Using the ignition key, turn the ignition ON but do not crank the engine.
The transmission selector must be in PARK.
2. Using the SELECT and other buttons on the right side of the steering
wheel, open the Driver Information Center (DIC) Main Menu. Scroll down
to Main Menu item OPTIONS with the lower steering wheel button and
then SELECT. Scroll to REMOTE KEY RELEARN and Select START. The
DIC will display LEARNING ACTIVE.
3. At the same time, press and hold LOCK and UNLOCK on the RKE
transmitter for approximately 5 seconds. A beep will sound, indicating
the transmitter is matched to the vehicle.
4. Repeat Step 3 to match up the next RKE transmitter.
5. To exit the RKE programming mode, turn the ignition key to LOCK/OFF.
6. Verify that all transmitters are learned by operating the door locks
remotely.
