Problem description:
The SpectroScan does not work, and power supply
indicator lights do not come on.
Cause:
No electrical supply
Remedy:
Check that the cable and connections are correctly
inserted, and that the device is switched on. Replace the
fuses (see chap. 4.4.3.3.).
Problem description:
Communication with hardware impossible.
Cause:
Modified baud rate.
Remedy:
Check configuration of the DIP-switches and correct cable
connections.
Perform a reset as described in chapter 4.4.3.1.
Problem description:
The transverse and longitudinal slides do not move, or
make strange noises when they move.
Cause:
Software or motor problem.
Remedy:
Remove the transportation protection (chap. 2.3.2)
Perform a reset as described in chapter 4.4.3.1., then
perform a demo (chap. 4.4.3.2).
- If the above measures are unable to restore normal operating conditions,
it is necessary to contact your local GretagMacbeth support service
immediately. Do not attempt to dismantle or repair the device.
