Ensure the legs fold open and close freely. Inspect the
left and right head bolt and that when in travel position
the legs are parallel to one another. Adjust if necessary.

Check that the rope guide-locking ring rotates and is
held in position by the ball spring plunger.
9.
Inspect the bow-nut for defects and ensure that it
rotates. The spring pin must be in position to prevent
the bow-nut from working loose during use.
10. Check that the leg adjustment clip sub-assemblies are
present and free from defects.
Service

Replace any faulty or damaged components.
12. Remove left and right leg assemblies by removing the
head screws and sliding the castings out from the
middle head .
13. Clean, deburr and regrease both top and bottom faces
of each casting. Use copper anti-seize to lubricate.
14. Refit the castings into the middle head and secure
with the head screws. Ensure not to over tighten as
this will clamp the castings in place and prevent the
legs from rotating.
15. Affix the under slung pulley assembly to the bow-nut if
applicable.
