7.6 STARTER RELAY OPERATION CHECK
Detach connector CN3 and then, when a bridge is
made between terminals 11 and 12 of connector CN3
l of the wiring
(1)
, the relay bobbin must be heard to
click and the starter must start.
If the bobbin clicks but the starter does not start,
make a bridge
(2)
with a large section cable (5 mm
2
)
between the power contacts of the relay.
If the starter comes into operation, look for the fault
within the relay or replace it. Otherwise, check the
starter together with its wiring.
If after these tests the engine starts and does not stop
with the key control, the CN3 connector will have to
be reattached to the electronic card to reset the
switching off function.
