The GLI impeller flow sensor generates a signal with a fre-
quency proportional to the flow rate. A frequency of zero
hertz occurs with no flow. The full-scale frequency occurs at
the maximum flow rate which is dependent upon the pipe
size in which the sensor is installed. The Model 677F con-
verts the sensor signal frequency to DC analog components
that drive the rate display and 4-20 mA output. When the
Model 677F is equipped with an optional volumetric total-
izer, the sensor signal is also routed to programmable
cascaded decade dividers to scale the totalizer.
The Model 677F is factory-calibrated for zero and full-scale
frequency. FIELD CALIBRATION IS NOT REQUIRED. If re-
calibration seems necessary, consult with the GLI Customer
Service Department.

Only when the Model 677F is equipped with the 6-digit re-
setting totalizer, can the totalized count be reset to zero by:
■
Pressing
PUSH TO RE-INITIATE
Switch
Locate the
PUSH TO RE-INITIATE
switch on the
backside of the display board, and momentarily press
it to reset the total flow.
■
Closing Remote Reset Switch (customer supplied)
When a customer-supplied remote reset switch is
properly connected to the Model 677F (Part Two, Sec-
tion 3.4), momentarily close this switch’s normally open
contacts to reset the total flow.
