Model Selection
The suggested model sizes shown in the table
opposite are based on a typical daily hot water
usage and on the assumption that the heat
pump will heat the domestic hot water to about
50°C. For higher specifi cation, an increase of one
model size should be considered.
When selecting a solar model, it is important to
check the dedicated solar volume shown in table
1 is suitable for the total fl oor area of the dwelling
and/or net area of the solar collectors to ensure
compliance with the Building Regulations.
When Stainless Lite HP is connected to both heat
pump and solar thermal systems, then during
the winter period the solar contribution will
be negligible and the heat pump will only heat
about 65% of the cylinder volume. This should
be taken into account when selecting the model.
