5. PROGRAMMING THE BASIC LIGHTING CONTROL
INTRODUCTION
This part includes information about the parameters configuration and operation logic of the basic
lighting control system.
LOG IN TO CONTROL APPLICATION
To log in to the control application:
•
Run the internet browser (recommended is Google Chrome, version 64.0.3282.134 or later)
•
Type the IP address of any VERTEX in the address field
•
Click
“
Log in
”
in the top right-hand corner
•
Log in using the default data:

Password:
admin1234

Change the login data in the
Settings
screen
SEARCH FOR/ ADDRESS THE DEVICES
In VERTEX control units the search for devices is run automatically in 30-second cycles. When
addressed devices are connected to the bus, the control unit will read their parameters. If
unaddressed devices are connected, the random addressing takes place before the parameters are
read.
IDENTIFY DEVICES IN THE SYSTEM
– ASSIGN NAMES
The luminaires are addressed randomly in the DALI communication system. As a result, it is
necessary to identify the luminaires in the system and assign names/ design names to them according
to the lighting system design.
Important!
The identification function allows finding a luminaire in the building. When this action is triggered,
a luminaire or another device starts flashing at a constant frequency, indicating its position.
Note!
Before the identification, make sure all luminaires are correctly found and the number of installed
devices conforms to the information in the system.
Identification procedure:

Log in to the control application
•
Go to the
Grouping
screen
•
Use the
Identify
button to activate flashing of the light source
•
Use the
Change Name
button to assign the name to a device
•
Disable identification
•
Go to the next device
